I was thinking....how about a Cookbook journal for Moms favorite recipes and perhaps a space for a brief synopsis?

A cookbook journal would be an AWESOME idea! My mother-in-law died unexpectedly a few years ago and I so regret not having some of her recipes preserved.....she was an old country cook and just had so many of her recipes "in her head", but I know she would have written them down for my daughter and me if I had given her something like this.

I love these type of journals, but I don't have the traditional family. I would love a journal that was meant for anyone! Meaning not specifically for your parents or brother or best friend, just for anyone you would like to give it to. You can personalize it too. Maybe even before you order it online you can get their name printed on it?

How about a Military Journal? So many parents are deployed by the military these days...what a great way to pass along a piece of history to their children or grandchildren! It would prob also be helpful for these folks to have an outlet for recording what they are experiencing!

I am expecting a baby in June and would love to have a journal that is to share your thoughts throughout pregnancy and then for each month of th baby's first year of life. What they accomplished and what you were feeling.

Hi Winston, miss seeing you at Spiegel. I have had 2 friends diagnosed with cancer in the last week and was thinking one of your journals would be a great gift. Maybe a version geared toward a friend going thru this devistating time in their life? Judi jlbrooks@sbcglobal.net

I think it would be great to have a journal following your experience as you get married.

I really needed a stepfather journal to give to my stepfather this past christmas. I gave the journal to my mother who may or may not actually do it. i'm wondering how i can encourage her to write in her answers without making her feel obligated.

I'd like to see a family cookbook one that you could pass around and preserve the family traditions.

Gwen, you could let your mom know how much it would mean to you to have her thoughts not just for yourself but for your kiddos as well. Sometimes just letting someone know how important something is to you is enough.

I was looking for a journal that I could use with my extended family (aunts and uncles) to share what their childhoods were like and their common experiences growing up had been like. My father was 1 of 7 and it would be nice to have that information in one place before all that history is lost.

I was actually looking for a journal for just twin sisters or twin siblings. Since twins usually have a really really close bond, that would be just great!!

I would love to have a journal to record things for my sons to read later. It seems that there are always memories or advice that I would give to them if I could ever remember to give it when we're talking, lol. Some things just never seem to come up in conversation, but then I think of them later when they're in bed or away.

I love the journal to give to one of your best girlfriends. My best friend has been in my life over 25 years and we are constantly reminding each other of the past. I didn't think they made journals for that - but I'll be ordering the one from the website.
But, I also agree with Hannah - my family structure is not traditional. I would love one that is suitable for any member of the family - with spots for pictures/newsclippings, etc.

I know this is morbid, but when someone finds out they might be dying, there is a need to leave information and love for those they leave behind. Maybe name it 'Before I Go...'

I would lov one for someone who is either in the service or retired. They always love to tell their stories and some don't. The ones that may not be able to share them might find it easier if they write about them. I don't know it's just a suggestion. I mean come on I would like to know some of the people, places and things that my cousin or my grandfather or my uncle saw and did while in the service. I mean it doesn't need to be all service related but it would help with the theme.

I also think the baby idea is good and the baby shower/ wedding one is good. They would def. make grate ideas for people to have out and have others fill in some questions either anonymously or even with a name. I think that would be a really great idea. I also think an aunt and uncle one would be good. One last suggestion should be relationship one. That would be really good because relationships are so much different when you are dating someone rather than when you are married to them and so I think espically for high school daters this would be a great idea that way they can see from someone elses point of views the dos and don't of dating and find out what type things people did back in the day while dating and then have it keep going to marriage and that way they can also learn about the dos and don'ts and just things like that.

I would like to see a journal with simple questions that my little one could fill out while between the ages of 2-elementary school age. The older the child then they can actually write some of the answers themselves. They say that kids say the darndest things and I think with simple easy to answer questions that an adult could read to them and write down their answers (for the younger children)would be cute for a mommy or daddy to read and find out what their children really think about things or say about different experiences. I mean children usually remember anything and everything. Some things you wish they wouldn't remember and other things you think hey, how did they know that or even remember that experience. This would be a good way for them to do it.

Please make "Grand daughter/son"! I'd love to give the Grandma journal, but I wish there was a Grandaughter one so I could reciprocate when grandma fills hers out. The "daughter" one doesn't really describe the same kind of relationship as the grandchild.

Don't make the grandchild questions too childish though, maybe targeted at 15-30 years old or so.

I would like to see journals for "Nana" and "Papa". When my children give these wonderful journals to their grandparents, I would like the title to be accurate.

these are cool. I think one for brother and sister in laws would be awesome journals. I also think to a baby from family members and also about a pet journal.

I would really like to see a journal for my mother in-law. Her life experiences, stories about my husbands childhood, her first impressions of me, what it was like watching us fall in love, ect.
